This morning I was saddened to learn of an incident involving the stabbing of a New York City cab driver. The driver, a Muslim, was allegedly attacked by a college student who had previously volunteered as a videographer in Afghanistan with one of my clients, New York City based Intersections International .
Intersections International is a leader in the inter-faith dialogue movement. The staff of Intersections International are good people that do important work at a critical time in our nations history.
I am sorry to see the good name of Intersections International drawn into the conversation. I am also proud of the work I did with Intersections International in Jordan, Syria and Lebanon in October, 2009. I traveled with them as part of the Iraqi Voices Amplification Project.
I am proud to be associated with Intersections International and believe in its mission which is dedicated to promoting justice, reconciliation and peace across lines of faith, culture, ideology, race, class, national borders and other boundaries that divide humanity.
