This is a 2010 Spiritual Journey I produced on ethnomusicologist, composer, performer and instructor of traditional Persian stringed instruments Tar and Setar, Amir Koushkani for the Chicago Sunday Evening Club‘s WTTW Channel 11 PBS Chicago program, 30 Good Minutes. Dr. Koushkani’s training in Persian music began in Iran, where he was introduced to traditional Persian themes, under the tutelage of Master Dariush Pirniakan. We recorded this at the University of Chicago’s Rockefeller Memorial Chapel.
