The Pullman District was the first model, planned industrial community in the United States. Things didn’t work out as planned and Pullman was the scene of the violent 1894 Pullman strike. It was built for George Pullman in an area that was then beyond the City of Chicago, Illinois city limits as a place to produce the famous Pullman sleeping car. My friend Dave Sobotka and I took a field trip to Pullman for some photo/video fun. I brought along my Panasonic Lumix GH3 with a Peleng Fisheye 8mm f3.5 lens
