Sanctuary, Chicago’s Christians from the East

Western Christians, both Catholic and Protestant, often overlook and sometimes even disregard their Eastern brothers and sisters – even when those Christians suffer persecution, become refugees and then live among us.

In this documentary His Grace, Bishop Demetrios the auxiliary bishop of Mokissosof the Greek Orthodox Metropolis of Chicago, will introduce to us Coptic, Assyrian and Arminean Christians, many of whom fled persecution and war and made their way to Chicago. We will go inside their homes and places of worship and learn about their rich tradition of ancient Christianity that continues to thrive in a new world. Sanctuary, Chicago’s Christians from the East, aired Sunday, March 30, 11:00 a.m., ABC7 Chicago. Produced by Greater Chicago Broadcast Ministries and Tim Frakes Productions.

Thank you so much for doing this. Thank you for bringing to our attention how important is to support the Christians in the Middle East.
