The Carnivour Restaurant

My friends Sarah and Stephen Padre and their infant daughter Alexia took us to dinner tonight at one of Kenya’s most famous restaurants. The Carnivore is unique. Every type of meat imaginable, including crocodile, is roasted on traditional Maasai swords (skewers) over a huge, visually spectacular charcoal pit that dominates the entrance of the restaurant. The waiters carry swords around the restaurant, carving unlimited amounts meat onto sizzling, cast iron plates. I’m full!.
