Back in 1999 I recorded this story with Walter Sve, a 3rd generation North Shore Lake Superior commercial fisherman based near Two Harbors, Minnesota. This story was recorded as part of the Winter 2000 edition of Mosaic, the video magazine of the ELCA. Frank Imhoff helped me with production. Jim Parks edited the post production.
