This is a short video I produced for the Iowa Illinois Young Birders Outing at Mississippi Palisades State Park, Savanna, Illinois. Young birders ages 8-18 were invited to a special Mississippi River weekend on June 14-15, 2014 to explore fantastic habitat, meet other young birders, and just have fun!
The event took place at the Upper Mississippi River Wildlife Refuge Savanna District (near Savanna IL and Sabula, IA) including the Green Island Wildlife Management Area (Iowa) and the fascinating Lost Mound Unit (Illinois.)
This special weekend was jointly sponsored by Illinois Young Birders and Iowa Young Birders.
